It makes me so happy and so proud to hear stories of you defying the hollywood concept of an attractive body. I am really glad that you are proving to girls of all ages that not everyone needs to conform to the hollywood body image. We can eat french fries and lay in bed all day. amandla and lenny were awesome and both played their characters perfectly also rue was black in the book too so fuck the dick off
these two actors were among the best in the movie!
i keep seeing all these racist comments and i just wonder what book they read….these characters have always been black. not that the color of their skin should change the impact they had in the stories they could have been purple or green and their message would have gotten across just as powerfully.
